THE TACR-160 ALLOWS YOU TO CHARGE TWO BANKS OF BATTERIES FROM A SINGLE SOURCE, SUCH AS AN ALTERNATOR, BUT KEEPS THE BATTERIES ISOLATED WHEN NOT CHARGING. THIS IS TO PREVENT ONE BATTERY BANK FROM DISCHARGING THE OTHER. ADDITIONALLY, IF ONE BANK OF BATTERIES IS EMPTY THERE WILL BE A CHARGED BANK AVAILABLE FOR EMERGENCY STARTING.
